Team Panorama Equipment Guide

Meant as a guide.  Used equipment in decent shape is always a good idea when building inventory.  Here are suggestions of what each age phase should have:

  • Ski Lengths:  Measure standing in boots.  SL between nose tip and eyes. GS up to 10-15 CM above head. SG 20 CM plus above head. Old longer GS skis are fine also for U16 and lower.
  • SL rock skis:  Kids ski poorly on twin tips. Great for powder and crud days in bowls. As kids get to U12 and up if they have old slalom skis hang onto them. We prefer SL skis for bump skiing drills.
  • Preferred brands:  All main brands have good kids skis however it is critical boots and skis are on the softer flex side. All well known brands have these available.  Of course individual family brand taste plays a role.
  • Footbeds:  Minimum of generic super feet footbeds should be in all kids boots.  Cutsom footbeds for older ages are always good. Make sure the kids have lots of wiggle room in the toes.
